Oriental Medicine, as with any other education, should be accredited. Accreditation reassures students that the program was evaluated and lived up to the criteria established by Oriental Medicine professionals. Additionally, it provides confidence in knowing that the education is considered pertinent to their employment by professionals in Oriental Medicine.
The Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) is the acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Education as a reliable authority for accreditation of master's degree level programs in Oriental Medicine.
